Pontiac trans sport problems

Asked by Jonathan Sep 30, at Ok i just bot this vehicle and it runs like Shnia twain nude champ. I am having a problem with the headlighs and dash lights and console lights all flickering. Also when i apply the brake or put the vehicle in reverse the blinker lights on the dash light up very dimly. I had the alternator tested and its fine. Also transmission has felt like it was slipping but more like the hole car was cutting out for a sec. Any help would be great. Jonathan priblems 7 years ago. I hope the battery fixes the other issues just buy the vehicle busted my budget. Could a bad blinker switch explain anything? NO,all that would effect is the turn signal lights, they would not Pontiac trans sport problems. Ok just for kicks and giggles i cleaned the grounds for the vehicle. Not all but the one from the battery to the body and the Pongiac on the headlight wiring harness. It fixed the flickering and a few other little things that didn't work when i bot the van but wait theres more. After driving around town in stop and good traffic for and hour and half it started to do what i thought was the transmission slipping again but this time much worse. Ended up that it was along the lines of cutting out rather than the trans. It really was bad this time though. Let it sit for and Pontiac trans sport problems while my son was in Karate and it drove home with no problems. Problesm i got home i noticed that my lights were back to flickering and the other things that my ground cleaning and fixed where back to not working also. I have to be right about what i...

It is fun to drive. Have had only one week. One problem is how far back driver is from front end. When turning it appears it takes the front a while to catch up. Took a while to find the owners manual. Love the idea of individual seats. Have a Caravan and Navigator. Always taking out the seats and usually need help. Just wish the back seats could turn around. Have an oil leak and trouble getting at the tappet cover to tighten it. Could use a little more space to work on engine. Since it is 14 years olds it is surprising how good it handles. The pushbutton sliding side door is great. Surprised it still works. Looks nice with the alloy wheels. Tows 2 tons and cruises easy on the highway. A wonderful mini-van to drive. Works well in cold weather and very dependable. Even thoe I average roughly KM a year. Suspension is kind of weak for this van, maybe the 3. If I had to buy this mini van all over again, I would. A few days before we bought our Transport , there was a newspaper article about one involved in a rollover , hit by a large truck. None of the six passengers were hurt badly. That made up our mind! I use the van because of our kids Never let me down I just love this car This has been an excellent, very reliable family car, with reasonably good gas mileage for its size. Drove it from Louisiana to Minnesota, to Canada, west across 5 provinces, and returned through Montana, through the Rockies, including very high elevations, with no problem. This van was handed down to me with , and it is now going on , miles. Up until recently there have been...

Major repairs, at 37, ml replaced alternator and battery. At 65, ml replaced defective water pump. At 73, ml replaced upper and lower manifold gasket along with thermostat due to damage created from dexicool that I no longer use. This vehicle will not accommodate a wheelchair lift to assist with transporting my son due to the slider doors on this year being too narrow. Was originally told when buying it that it would accommodate the lift system. Good Van the only thing is wen something does wear out it cost a arm and a leg intake gasket, wheel bearings, brakes. Purchased used with 45, miles on it. Dealer included new tires. Just replaced those in summer of Only other replacement was battery after 4 years still factory issue. The only problems have been with the rear shocks. Replaced both due to clamp failure. Very dependable with loads of room. With rear seats out you have a covered truck. Can't imagine life without my van. Manifold repaired, electrical problems everywhere, interior heating and cooling does not work, engine light, air bag and abs sensor lights on, worst vehicle I have ever owned The handling however is the best I have had even over a Honda Civic Family owns a Montana - same problems so GM is not listening or caring. After nearly 10 years of service, it has never been found wanting. I average 24 mpg with over k miles. This is the 2nd Montana I have owned and it has been a headache from the start. Examples are, brakes locked up making vehicle undrivable, replaced fuel injectors, replaced load leveler shocks and pump twice, power windows on both sides stopped working. Power side door won't stay closed, auto locks do not operate on side doors, lights on steering wheel...
