Posted October 28th, , Does anyone know anything about where this tour boat leaves on Palm Beach? Can we hang out very close by after the tour to let the kids play on the beach and go swimming? OR is there a resort close by that we can rent from or pay a day fee for access? If not, can we take a taxi to somewhere close by that offers what we are looking for? Also, since we'll be forfeiting our free ride back to the ship, what does it cost for a taxi from Palm Beach to the ships? If it is the Semi Submersible http: There is a bar and restaurant right there on Pelican Pier, the Pelican's Nest btw their claim to being the "only restaurant on the ocean, open for lunch and dinner" is not true. On the other side of the Holiday Inn heading north there is another beachside restaurant, MoomBa http: I know there is a waterports vendor there at the Holiday Inn, but not sure whether or not they are renting chaises. That is per car, NOT per person with a maximum of 5 persons. Wet bathing suits are not allowed. Thank you Aruba Lisa This tour is not the semi-sub. But the Princess description does not say the name of the company or the name of the glass-bottom boat. Should have looked at my own darn website for the link. Couldn't find it on Google, but found it there. The longest walk is going to be from the streetside to the pier. The boat leaves from De Palm Pier. The pier is located between the Riu and Radisson resort....

In February, we visited this park for the glass bottom boat tour. Although the visitor center is currently closed for maintenance, other parks of the park are operational. Our trip to the coral reef was aboard the Spirit of Pennekamp, which I believe is their newest boat. The trip to the reef was very enjoyable; the tour guides are knowledgeable and provide information on the way. Once at the reef, you gather around the edge of the boat bottom to view the reef and marine life. This allows you to view a larger area than my simply kneeling at your own window as in the Key West tour aboard the Discovery. Each has it's own merits. The guides describe the reef and provide information regarding the marine life you are viewing. The gift shop is nice, very clean with a good choice of items for sale. We walked over to the beach area to make a few pictures. It was clean and neat. Due to the visitor center being closed, the only restrooms available in this area of the park are portpotties; people were avoiding them due to the condition apparently. After researching a lot of water activities in Key Largo, it seemed this park was more affordable than others. They had plenty of picnic tables and grills, so we had a nice picnic lunch then went snorkeling. They have a small beach by the visitor center; not sure if there are larger beaches elsewhere in the park. The gift shop was cute and they had food and ice cream inside. This is also where you sign up for the water activities. We rented masks, wet suits, and fins. We had to buy the snorkels. We were glad we rented the wet suits, since the water was pretty cold this...

Please make sure you get a chance to experience it. Hugs Papa Jersey and Jersey Kid. Being the first tour we took in Aruba, it left quite an impression! This tour was very fun, and quite educational if you asked me! Our tour guides, Angie and Elbert, were very nice and always interacted with the kids to make it an enjoyable experience. Even the adults on the tour enjoyed it! The only negative thing about the tour was that the windows gave me a bit of a headache, as they reflect light strangely. It is a little pricey but we enjoyed it. The reef was not as alive as we expected but we did see one section that was really nice. The fish are sparse but when you see them, they are colorful and its nice. The submarine takes you to a sandy bottom and you get to see a couple different submerged vessels. One was recently sank to create an artificial reef. The submarine is comfortable and the crew is great. Nothing negative to say about the tour; just was a little disappointed that a beautiful island such as Aruba didn't have a prettier reef. Who else gets to spend an afternoon taking a boat out to a submarine, feel extremely safe with competent individuals, and enjoy a tour of Aruba and only sea life get to see. With the shipwrecks and fish, along with. We were so looking forward to this experience and I guess some of the other reviews had hyped us up, but we were disappointed in the experience. The shipwrecks are kind of cool, and seeing some of the coral reef and the fish around it was delightful. However, it isn't really as roomy as people make it seem. We had some bigger folks with...
